Welcome to URLO.si. These Terms describe how to use our free link shortening and QR code tools. Please read them before creating or sharing a short link. By selecting Shorten, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

URLO.si turns a public web address into a shorter link that redirects people to the address submitted. You may optionally generate a downloadable QR code for your shortened link. No registration or payment is required for the public shortening tool.

2. Fair use and creation limits

To protect the service, we apply a daily link-creation allowance, request throttling and automated abuse checks. Current allowance information is available on the homepage. Shared networks may share an allowance. We may change limits when necessary to manage demand, protect infrastructure or respond to misuse. Limits do not guarantee availability.

3. Your responsibilities

Only submit URLs you are entitled to share. You are responsible for the destination content, your communications and your use of shortened links. Before distributing a link or QR code, check that it points to the correct destination and complies with applicable laws and third-party platform rules.

4. Prohibited activities

You must not use URLO.si to spread malware, phishing pages, fraud, spam, unlawful material, deceptive offers or harmful content. Do not impersonate others, hide a destination to mislead visitors, run automated bulk-generation attacks, bypass limits or interfere with the service or its security controls.

5. Safety, moderation and removal

URLs may be blocked automatically or reviewed following an abuse report. We may restrict, disable or remove a link without advance notice where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, service integrity or enforcement of these Terms. You can report suspicious links through our Report abuse page.

6. Redirection, third parties and advertising

A short link leads to a third-party destination that URLO.si does not operate or endorse. Depending on website settings, visitors may be redirected immediately or shown a short countdown page, which can include advertisements. Third-party sites and advertising partners have their own rules and privacy practices.

7. Link availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service, but do not promise that a link will remain available indefinitely, be uninterrupted or be suitable for every purpose. Keep the original destination address when continued access is important. Features, limits or these Terms may change as the service evolves.

8. Liability

The service is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.
